Knifty Knitters

Well here we are on the last day of February. Eric and I are both sick with the cough and cold. It's on the last stages hopefully. This week I have learned how to make hats using a knifty knitter. It is so much fun. Even little kids can use them. I make Eric a hat and I have made 2 baby hats and I am working on a third. No I am pregnant, I am making them for friends. I have been having so much fun making these. I also got the movie fireproof. It is fantastic. Makes you think. I hope everyone is doing well.

Hope this make a difference in your day

Well another week has come and gone. Just one week left of February. Isn't that scary? I just wanted to share a story with everyone. It's called: Shake It Off And Step Up

SHAKE IT OFF AND STEP UP

A parable is told of a farmer who owned an old mule. The mule fell into the farmer's well. The farmer heard the mule "braying" or whatever mules do when they fall into wells. After carefully assessing the situation, the farmer sympathized with the mule, but decided that neither the mule nor the well was worth the trouble of saving. Instead he called his neighbors together and told them what had happened and enlisted them to help haul dirt to bury the old mule in the well and put him out of his misery. Initially, the old mule was hysterical! But as the farmer and his neighbors continued shobeling and the dirt hit his back . . . a thought struck him. It suddenly dawned on him that every time a shovel load of dirt landed on his back . . . HE SHOULD SHAKE IT OFF AND STEP UP! This he did blow after blow. "Shake it off and step up . . . shake it off and step up . . . shake it off and step up!" he repeated to encourage himself. No matter how painful the blows, or distressing the situation seemed the old mule fought "panic" and just kept right on SHAKING IT OFF AND STEPPING UP! It was not long before the old mule, battered and exhausted, STEPPED TRIUMPHANTLY OVER THE WALL OF THAT WELL. What seemed like would bury him, actually blessed him . . . all because of the manner in which he handled his adversity. THAT'S LIFE! If we face our problems and respond to them positively, and refuse to give in to panic, bitterness or self-pity . . . THE ADVERSITIES THAT COME ALONG TO BURY US USUALLY HAVE WITHIN THEM THE POTENTIAL TO BENEFIT AND BLESS US! Remember FORGIVENESS-FAITH-PRAYER-PRAISE and HOPE . . . all are excellent ways to "SHAKE IT OFF AND STEP UP", out of the wells in which we find ourselves! ONE MORE THING . . . "Never be afraid to try something new. Remember, amateurs built the ark. Professionals built the Titanic."

Hope this makes a difference in your day.

Happy Valentine's Day

Well Happy Valentine's Day everyone. We celebrated Valentine's yesterday. It was fun to get away and spend time just Eric and I. We went out to east at Okies in Idaho Falls. Then we went shopping, we had to kill time before we went to the movies. We went and saw Friday the 13th. It was so stupid. Eric and I were bored through-out the whole thing. Then we went to Super WalMart after the show. We didn't get home until 2 this morning. It was a long day, but we had fun. Hope everyone has a Happy Valentine's Day today.

Thank you everyone

Hi everyone. This is a very cold winter so far. With everything going, it's crazy to think that February is almost half over. Thank you everyone for all your thoughts and prayers last week when Eric had his galbladder out. It's helped. We are doing fine, just wishing that winter would end soon.
