Ok, so a 3rd grade teacher at Adams has this on his board. Let's see if it shows up better on here then it did on Facebook. It's a math challange. You can only use the numbers 1-9 once. It is a 3x3 square. See if you can figure it out. Here it is:

____ + ____ - ____ = 4

- + +
____ - ____ + ____ = 8

+ - +
____ + ____ - ____ = 1

= = =

Lost and Found

So I was looking through things on my computer and I found all these pictures, so I thought I would share them with everyone. They are from June 2004. It was a Youth Retreat. There are so many pictures that I am only putting a few on. I had so much fun. Hope you enjoy.

This was most the kids that came for the Retreat. We gathered from all over Idaho and went to Boise.

This was everyone that came from Rexburg. Crazy huh. We were the biggest group that came from one place.

This is Chazz Johnson, Tracy Stephenson, Governor Dirk Kempthorne, Jason Stark and Me.

We had meetings and classes for 3 days straight. We also had to speak in front of everyone.

This is one of the classes that we had.

We had to get into different groups to act out different objects or things.

The girl in the middle in the purple top and straight hair was my roommate. There was 2 people in each room.

It was so nice outside that we ate outside most of the time.
We also got to have some fun. We went White Water Rafting. My first time. I had a BLAST!!!

1 week of school

Well we have been in school for 1 week. Wow, what a crazy week it's been. I have stayed nice and calm though. That's what the scriptures do. They keep you calm. My days go so much smoother when I start out the day with the scriptures. My goal is to finish all of the scriptures by the end of the school year. Oh time to make dinner. Bye for now.

Boy Am I Tired

Today was Adams Elementary registration. I left my house around 7:15 and didn't home until 4:30. Boy am I tired. I had to stay there the entire time, but I did get paid for it. We were supposed to end around 3:30, but people just kept coming. Ugh. Tomorrow I have a meeting at 10:30. Oh the first day of school is the pits. We start next Wednesday. In a way I'm excited and on the other hand I'm not. Oh well. Well signing off now, goodbye.

Wow, 2 days in a row

Today I went to Adams and the lunchroom is white. WOW. I love it. I also had to set up for tomorrow which is registation. I have to be at the school before 7:30 in the morning. My boss Dave is going to meet me there. I'm excited. I hope it will be a good year this year. I am trying to get things donw so that the first day of school will run some what smoothly. Who knows. If something happens then I'll try to take it with a grain of salt and move on. We also met the our new neighbors. They are nice. We have only met the kids. The parents work, so we haven't met them yet. We let them know about registration. They moved from New Mexico. Not sure what part. Well I got to go. I can't believe that I did this 2 days in a row. Wow.

Not sure what to call this post

Ok well we have been busy, busy, busy. Babby-sitting from 7:30am-5:50pm. 3 kids, and the 2 oldest don't know how to behave. The ages are 8, 6 and 8 months. So you would think that the 2 oldest would know how to behave. Oh well. They start school on Thursday, so we won't watch them until next summer. We we still take the 8 month old until next Tuesday. Then it's time to go back to work for us. Madison School District starts on the 26th. I am so excited. I can't wait. The summer has kind of dragged on for me. This year Eric has a new bus route. He drives in Burton now. Oh joy. I am still the Manager at Adams Elementary for lunch. So I get to go to registration on Wednesday. I am excited to see the lunchroom. At the end of last school year I was told that the lunchroom was going to be getting painted and I was going to get some bulliten boards. So we'll see. I am going to go in tomorrow and see. Last Saturday I had my 5 year class reunion. It was so much fun. I loved seeing my classmates. We had quite a lot come. It was at the Rexburg Stake Center (3 ball diamond church), we ate outside until the weather turned bad, then we went inside the church and played volleyball. Around 8:30 everyone left and went to the sand dunes. I didn't go, because I had to finish my lesson for Nursery. My friend traveled 9 hours to come to the reunion. I get to plan the reunion in 5 years. I have some ideas. Eric is also helping out. Let's see anything else.....? Not that I can think of, so I will close for now. Enjoy each day to the fullest.

I am bad at keeping this updated

Well here it is the 2nd week in June. I am so bad at keeping this updated. Busy busy busy. I have been cleaning, getting ready for the summer, baby-sitting my nieces and nephews. So it has been a really busy time around here. My brother also graduated last month. Scary. It is really weird to think that he is that old. I also wish the rain will stop. Let's what else has been happening........ Oh we found Eric's birth father after 20 years. It was really exciting. I am so happy for my husband. He deserves the best. If we had money and a better car we would travel to Indiana. That is where is dad is. But it might now happen now, maybe someday. Other that that, nothing really interesting is happening. So have a wonderful day and if you have sunny weather enjoy it to it's fullest. Have a SUNNY day!!!

Food Storage

What a way to start the week. Our pipes are frozen! This is the first time all winter. I don't know what happened, but I do know that I am not worried about it. Scott is flipping out, but then again he flips over the smallest things. Boy am I a fan of storage. I have 4 2 Liter Bottles of water. Glad I saved some water. Hopefully we don't have to use it. So I will testify that storage is nice to have. Also this week my parents are leaving for Las Vegas. They are leaving Eric and I a cell phone, so we can keep in touch. My younger brother doesn't want us to stay at the house, he says that he is a big boy, so we will just keep an eye on things from our house. If the water thaws of course. If not, we may end up staying at the house. Who knows. My birthday is also this week. It's on Thursday. That's when my parents get back. We are celebrating it on Saturday though. So lots of things going on, but that's okay. It's nice to have stuff to do.

Early weekend

Well not much is happening here. Today is early out for Madison School District. It's the end of the Trimester. Also there is no school tomorrow, March 6, 2009. District Inservice. Yeah, a 3 day weekend. So exciting!! We also are going to a dance tomorrow night. Our ward is putting on a dance, and since we are part of the Activities Commitee I guess we better go. Eric is also putting the music together. We did this last year too, but we just had the adults come, this time it's for the whole family. Fun, fun.

Knifty Knitters

Well here we are on the last day of February. Eric and I are both sick with the cough and cold. It's on the last stages hopefully. This week I have learned how to make hats using a knifty knitter. It is so much fun. Even little kids can use them. I make Eric a hat and I have made 2 baby hats and I am working on a third. No I am pregnant, I am making them for friends. I have been having so much fun making these. I also got the movie fireproof. It is fantastic. Makes you think. I hope everyone is doing well.

Hope this make a difference in your day

Well another week has come and gone. Just one week left of February. Isn't that scary? I just wanted to share a story with everyone. It's called: Shake It Off And Step Up

SHAKE IT OFF AND STEP UP

A parable is told of a farmer who owned an old mule. The mule fell into the farmer's well. The farmer heard the mule "braying" or whatever mules do when they fall into wells. After carefully assessing the situation, the farmer sympathized with the mule, but decided that neither the mule nor the well was worth the trouble of saving. Instead he called his neighbors together and told them what had happened and enlisted them to help haul dirt to bury the old mule in the well and put him out of his misery. Initially, the old mule was hysterical! But as the farmer and his neighbors continued shobeling and the dirt hit his back . . . a thought struck him. It suddenly dawned on him that every time a shovel load of dirt landed on his back . . . HE SHOULD SHAKE IT OFF AND STEP UP! This he did blow after blow. "Shake it off and step up . . . shake it off and step up . . . shake it off and step up!" he repeated to encourage himself. No matter how painful the blows, or distressing the situation seemed the old mule fought "panic" and just kept right on SHAKING IT OFF AND STEPPING UP! It was not long before the old mule, battered and exhausted, STEPPED TRIUMPHANTLY OVER THE WALL OF THAT WELL. What seemed like would bury him, actually blessed him . . . all because of the manner in which he handled his adversity. THAT'S LIFE! If we face our problems and respond to them positively, and refuse to give in to panic, bitterness or self-pity . . . THE ADVERSITIES THAT COME ALONG TO BURY US USUALLY HAVE WITHIN THEM THE POTENTIAL TO BENEFIT AND BLESS US! Remember FORGIVENESS-FAITH-PRAYER-PRAISE and HOPE . . . all are excellent ways to "SHAKE IT OFF AND STEP UP", out of the wells in which we find ourselves! ONE MORE THING . . . "Never be afraid to try something new. Remember, amateurs built the ark. Professionals built the Titanic."

Hope this makes a difference in your day.

Happy Valentine's Day

Well Happy Valentine's Day everyone. We celebrated Valentine's yesterday. It was fun to get away and spend time just Eric and I. We went out to east at Okies in Idaho Falls. Then we went shopping, we had to kill time before we went to the movies. We went and saw Friday the 13th. It was so stupid. Eric and I were bored through-out the whole thing. Then we went to Super WalMart after the show. We didn't get home until 2 this morning. It was a long day, but we had fun. Hope everyone has a Happy Valentine's Day today.

Thank you everyone

Hi everyone. This is a very cold winter so far. With everything going, it's crazy to think that February is almost half over. Thank you everyone for all your thoughts and prayers last week when Eric had his galbladder out. It's helped. We are doing fine, just wishing that winter would end soon.
